Craving a juicy burger, but trying to eat healthier or less meat? You came to the right spot, at the right time! Todays’ post is a recipe of a home-made fish burger, made of mashed pangasius fish fillet and herbs. You just need a few simple ingredients and some imagination.
1 small Pangasius fillet
2 cloves of garlic
Half a Red Onion
Salt & Pepper
Wholewheat or Spelt bun
& your imagination
Start by cutting the fish into smaller pieces. Put it in a bowl together with the garlic, onion, parsley and other seasoning. Mash everything into a smoochy substance; I used a hand blender.
Try to form the mixture into a round burger and let it soak in half an egg. Next, it’s time to dip the hamburger in the breadcrumbs. You can make your own or just buy them at your local supermarket, like I did.
Pictures tell more than words:
Slowly fry the burger on each side, making sure it’s cooked throughout. I used coconut oil, which works perfectly. I added the burger to my wholewheat bun, together with some cucumber, rocket salad and cherry tomatoes. Use your own imagination & use whatever you like.
As sauce I used my go-to quark dressing, made out of quark, seasoning, fresh parsley, spring onion, salt and pepper! This was so de-lishhh, though I could not finish it since it was quite a large portion. You could even make two smaller burgers out of the mixture.
Voila, c’est tous! Now enjoy
